National competent authorities - Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of LithuaniaAccording to the amendments of the Law on Technology and Innovation, the Innovation Agency Lithuania was designated with the functions of the notifying authority (pursuant to Articles 28(1) and 70(1) of the AI Act). The Innovation Agency Lithuania was also obliged to create and supervise AI regulatory sandbox (pursuant to Article 57(1) of the AI Act).
According to the amendments of the Law on Information Society Services, the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania was designated with the function of main market surveillance authority and the single contact point (pursuant to Articles 70(1) and 70(2) of the AI Act).
